Robert Knievel also is known as Evel Knievel to his large fan base across the world has amazing people all over the world with his amazing jumps throughout his long career.   Over his long career, he has completed over 75 amazing ramp-to-ramp jumps.   Evel Knievel was introduced into the hall of fame in 1999.  Robert, aka Robbie, has traveled all over the globe performing for people from as young as 5 to as old as 85.

His biggest ever jump came in 1967 in Las Vegas when he jumped the fountains outside of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV. 3. Brown vs Board of Education National Historic Site


Brown V Board was originally founded in Topeka in 1992 by Congress to commemorate the historic U.S. Supreme Court ruling that basically ended racial segregation in the US public school system. This is the location for Monroe Elementary School, one of the four once segregated schools for African American children.

4. Combat Air Museum


The Combat Air Museum is all about the history of aviation, this museum is located at the Topeka Regional Airport, and once belonged to the Forbes Air Force Base.

The museum’s mission is based on preserving, displaying, and collecting old aircraft and artifacts related to aviation history. This museum started back in 1976 and is on two different hangars.

There are over 30 different styles of aircraft located at this museum, most are military-style planes. The aircrafts located here are dated back to WWI and WWII aircraft, from the1950s to the 1980s were the introduction of jets, military vehicles, helicopters, and more.

5. Topeka Zoological Park


The Topeka Zoological Park is located in the north part of Topeka. This zoo has tons of newer exhibits, some of the most popular attractions area like Black Bear Woods, Jungle Cats, Kansas Carnivores, and Discovering Apes.

The zoo opened in 1933 but their first structure was not built until 96’. After the first one opened, soon after many more started to quickly pop up throughout the zoo. The zoo went under renovation in 2003 to expand and add several new exhibits.

Today these exhibits include Jungle Cats, Black Bear Woods, Discovering Apes, Kansas Carnivores, and the first indoor tropical rainforest in the U.S.
